Baptism

To make arrangements for Baptism, please contact the Parish Office to schedule an appointment with Deacon Tom. Baptisms are scheduled as requested after the parents have met with Deacon Tom

Godparents who belong to San Felipe de Neri Parish must have been registered in the parish for at least six months. 

Godparents must obtain a letter from the pastor or Deacon Tom giving them permission to serve as a Godparent. 

Godparents must be practicing Catholics who are married in the Catholic Church if married.  Godparents who are single must be attending Mass on a regular basis. Persons who are cohabiting may not serve as Godparents for Baptism.

Godparents from another parish must  meet the criteria listed above and obtain a letter of permission from the pastor of their own parish and a certificate indicating that they have completed a baptism preparation class.  

The clergy of the parish will be happy to schedule a baptism on a Sunday when the criteria above have been completed.

The Sacraments and the Rite of Baptism

This class will review the Sacraments, how they are related and review the Rite of Baptism, preparing your for actively celebrating the Baptism of your child.
